SENSUM at ETIF 2025: Driving Quality and Innovation in Pharma

From September 17–19, Buenos Aires hosted ETIF 2025 — the International Exhibition and Congress on Pharmaceutical Industry — bringing together experts, companies, and decision-makers shaping the future of pharma in the region.

ETIF (Exposición y Congreso Internacional de Tecnología Farmacéutica, Biotecnología y Ciencias Farmacéuticas, in Costa Salguero Center) is Argentina event for the pharmaceutical, biotechnological, and veterinary industries. The 2025 edition gathered companies, international experts, and decision-makers to foster collaboration, showcase technologies, share insights and offer solutions.

For SENSUM, ETIF is more than an exhibition. It is a place to share knowledge, connect with industry leaders and highlight the importance of advanced vision inspection technologies in ensuring product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

At this year’s edition, SENSUM presented our innovative solutions for visual inspection. By engaging with professionals from across the industry, we had the opportunity to discuss challenges, exchange ideas, and explore new ways to support and offer solutions for pharmaceutical companies in reducing risks and enhancing efficiency.

We were also pleased to attend the exhibition together with our partner NEOPACKAGING – reinforcing our commitment to collaboration and strengthening the presence of advanced visual inspection technologies in the Argentinian market.

Sharing Expertise and knowlege on the ETIF Stage

One of the highlights of our participation was SENSUM’s contribution to the Technical Business Conference program. On Friday, September 19, Marko Šraj, Business Development Manager at SENSUM, delivered a presentation on:

“Direct vs. Hidden Costs of Non-Conformity in the Manufacture of Oral Solids”

(“Costos directos vs. costos ocultos de la No-Conformidad en la fabricación de sólidos orales”)

In his talk, Marko highlighted the financial and operational impact of non-conformities in oral solid dosage manufacturing. Some pharma companies tend to measure non-conformity costs only by manual inspection labor.

Hidden costs like:

  • rework,
  • CAPAs,
  • OEE losses,
  • penalties
  • recalls,

are often 5–10x higher.

Automated inspection turns hidden losses into visible savings and long-term value.

Building Connections and Looking Ahead

Throughout ETIF 2025, we welcomed visitors to our booth, exchanged insights, offered solutions and identified new opportunities for future collaboration. The event once again confirmed that progress is built on innovation, partnerships and knowledge sharing.

For SENSUM, these moments are key to continuing our mission: enabling pharmaceutical manufacturers to deliver high-quality medicines through visual inspection solutions.
